Hi there!

My name is Johnny, and I made all the stuff available on this website. Lol.

“About Me” sections have always been painful for me because, well… they’re awkward. But you clicked the “About” button for a reason, so I hope you like run-on sentences.

I’ve always used art as an outlet and have explored all kinds of creative mediums throughout my life. As a kid, I loved to draw. I got in trouble a lot for not paying attention and drawing on things I probably wasn’t supposed to—my desk, books, homework, walls, etc.

In first grade, I drew a heart on the classroom rug in chalk, which obviously led to a meeting with the principal. Lol. You know… just that kid who was always unintentionally doing the wrong thing while floating around in their own little world.

In high school, I took AP Ceramics and started putting together a portfolio before ultimately deciding that college just wasn’t for me. I also spent years painting with oils, watercolors, and acrylics, but I never really felt like I developed a specific “style” of my own.

As an adult, I’m a full-time photographer. I spent many years as a staff photographer for a snorkel company, where I had a unique and incredible opportunity to learn photography and film marine life. These days, I specialize in sports, outdoor branding, and architecture—although, I’ll shoot pretty much anything. Apparently, I haven’t really managed to niche down there either.

In my free time, I’ve been loving alcohol inks, watercolor, resin, and acrylic pours. Exploring all of these different mediums has been fascinating and incredibly fun. They also offer a level of unpredictability and minimal control that has been challenging for me as a human, because I am very much the “fixer” type.

Honestly, I usually don’t know when to quit.

I’d rather die than give up on something I feel like I could fix or make better. Sometimes I try too hard, and eventually, it quits me. It’s probably both my best and worst quality.

I’m also incredibly sentimental.

Those two characteristics have resulted in a lot of “wasted” materials… as well as some of my all-time favorite pieces.

With all of that being said, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve created. Whether a piece is elaborate or simple, each one takes up a pretty significant piece of real estate in my heart—not necessarily because of what it looks like, but because of the entangling pieces that maybe “shouldn’t” work together but ultimately kind of do. It’s still funny to me that people want to buy them.

The same goes for the things I photograph.

For me, creating has never really been about having one specific style or sticking to one medium. It’s about exploring, experimenting, getting a little weird, making SO many mistakes, and seeing where something takes me.

And I think that’s what I love most about making things.
To make a short story very long - I’ve been making things and I hope you like them too.
